We have 9 products in four groups: 5 hose crimping machines (110–550 tons), 2 bench-top machines for hose cutting and skiving, a pipe-end press and brake hose dies. Follow the path of a hose through the workshop: cutting first, skiving if needed, then crimping; pipe-end forming and dies are separate jobs beside this line.

Which product groups do we have?

Hose Crimping Machines: 5 models, MT 11, MT 12, MT 30, MT 35 and MT 55. Crimping forces run from 110 to 550 tons; the hose range extends from 3/16″ to 10″.

Hose Cutting and Skiving Machines: 2 bench-top machines. The cutting machine cuts hoses up to and including 2″ and has a 400 mm saw blade. The skiving machine skives 3/8″–1 1/4″ hoses and has 6 dies.

Scaffolding Pipe and Flange Machines: the Pipe End Press. It forms a male end (“taklan”) on the ends of scaffolding pipes by swaging; send us your pipe size and we will tell you if it fits.

Custom Molds: the Brake Hose Dies. We make crimping dies in the form and diameter you need; write the hose type and fitting size.

In which order are cutting, skiving and crimping done?

The usual workshop order of a hydraulic hose assembly is as follows:

  1. Cut: the hose is cut to length. The Hose Cutting Machine is a manual bench-top solution for hoses up to and including 2″.

  2. Skive: for some hose and fitting combinations the outer layer is skived back so the fitting can seat. The Hose Skiving Machine covers 3/8″–1 1/4″; on MT 30 skiving dies for 3/8″–2″ are standard on the press.

  3. Crimp: the fitting is assembled on the hose and crimped in the press with a suitable die, chosen by die diameter, fitting and hose.

  4. Check: the size and appearance are checked after crimping (see the Hose standards and crimping guide for detail).

Which group does my job belong to?

  • I crimp fittings onto hoses:

Hose Crimping Machines. Look at hose diameter first, then place and volume.

  • I cut or skive hose:

Hose Cutting and Skiving Machines. For large diameters check the range: cutting up to 2″, skiving up to 1 1/4″.

  • I form the ends of scaffolding pipes:

Scaffolding Pipe and Flange Machines. Write your pipe diameter and quantity.

  • I need special dies for brake, air-conditioning or steering hoses: Custom Molds. Write the hose type and fitting size.

Once I know the group, how do I pick the model?

In hose crimping the decision rests on three measures: hose diameter and type, place of work and daily volume. On site and where there is no electricity the portable MT 11 stands out; in the workshop the electric-motor MT 12, MT 30, MT 35 and MT 55 come in. Motor power is between 4 kW and 11 kW; machine weight is 70 kg for MT 11, 250 kg for MT 12, 950 kg for MT 30 and 3000 kg for MT 55.

Do not look at crimping force alone; read it together with the hose range, the dies and the maximum opening. Tell us your hose and fitting and we will say whether it fits.

In which order do I choose when setting up a new hose line?

When planning a line from scratch, fix the crimping press first, then the cutting and skiving need; the press sets the hose range, cutting and skiving set the preparation range. If your range exceeds 1 1/4″ the Hose Skiving Machine is not enough; the 3/8″–2″ skiving dies on MT 30 can do the job. Send us your size and we will find the solution together.

What is asked most about the product groups?

4 questions

Do I always need a separate skiving machine?

No. On MT 30, skiving dies for 3/8″–2″ are standard on the press and no separate skiving machine is needed. On other models the need depends on hose and fitting.

Which group covers brake hose?

The Custom Molds group has the Brake Hose Dies. With MT 11, MT 12 and MT 30 you can also crimp brake hose. Write the hose type and fitting size.

Which group has scaffolding pipe?

The Pipe End Press in the Scaffolding Pipe and Flange group forms a male end on scaffolding pipes. Write your pipe diameter and quantity.

How do I find out the price?

The price depends on the model, the die set and the equipment. Request a quote and we will get back to you according to your needs.

Where do I start a quote?

Open the group you are interested in, add the matching model to your quote file and send it by WhatsApp. The hose type, diameter range and daily volume are enough in your message. The price depends on the model, the die set and the equipment; we tell you according to your needs.
